The 'Vogue' Family Portrait Experience
Take your family portraits to the next level. We will come to your home and not only capture natural and fun portraits of you and your family, but lets include your beautiful home – interior and exterior. Your house can be a part of who you are and holds a lot of memories, so it’s important to capture that as part of your family portraits.
It can be endearing to include treasured family heirlooms, artwork and other precious objects into your handcrafted album. Perfect if you might be selling or downsizing your family home sometime soon. Capture it at its best and liveliness – then give each family member a copy of the album to cherish forever.
Don’t forget the smallest member of the family – it’s amazing how the family dog or cat can just wander into the picture at exactly the right time. They don’t want to miss out on all the family fun. Because they are part of the family, we will capture them separately and create a beautiful artistic portrait of them aswell.
When you book with us, we will come to your home and have a pre-shooting consultation to discuss the planning of your customised photography shoot. You will take us through your home to give us an idea of the best aspects to photograph and which rooms and personal possessions you would like included in your personalised shoot.
We are happy to discuss what outfits you would like to be photographed in and how to incorporate them into the shoot. This is important in portraying the feel of your album. Is it casual and relaxed, or perhaps ritzy and glamorous and how does that fit with your décor and home styling?
Depending upon the size of your home and the number of participants, we will split the shoot over two separate days. A typical family portrait shoot might unfold something like this:
Day 1 – empty room and house exterior shots
House exterior, personal possessions/artwork, individual pet portrait/s, details of fabrics / furnishings, interior rooms etc
Day 2 - portraits
Group family portrait, with pet/s, group family portrait with any other person as discussed, individual portraits per person, parent/s with each child, children, couple, grandparents etc, and any other combinations as discussed
After all photography has been completed, we will come to your home and show you the fabulous proofs. It’s best to allow plenty of time for this part, so you can slowly peruse through the images and decide which album best captures your family identity and personality.
